ML159 Equipping the Board for Financial Leadership

Financial management can be a leadership development process that increases your organization’s potential to successfully create and evaluate community change. Learn to connect the financial, programmatic, operational, and leadership efforts to develop a richer understanding of the organization’s impact. Strengthen how financial information is used to support mission-focused decision making. Focus leadership conversations and actions on organizational outcomes and sustainability, not simply financial viability. It is highly recommended that organizations commit a team of board leaders (e.g. including Treasurer, Board Chair) and executive staff (e.g. Chief Executive, CFO) to participating in this interactive, outcomes-oriented course. Teams will develop an Action Plan for implementation in their organizations.
