HO328vc Enhancing the Effectiveness of a Foreclosure Intervention Counseling Program

Foreclosure intervention counseling programs need to be strategic in order to successfully provide efficient, cost-effective services. This course addresses specific strategies that organizations should implement to take their existing foreclosure intervention counseling programs to the next level and to successfully incorporate their foreclosure intervention counseling into the organization’s broader continuum of homeownership services. In this course participants learn how to use an organizational self-discovery process that identifies common challenges in service delivery, organizational processes and agency policies. They then discover how to analyze their foreclosure intervention program with a focus on enhancing delivery systems and processes. This course is designed for professionals in the foreclosure intervention counseling field who are working at the management level. It serves as an excellent follow-up to HO320 Developing and Implementing an Effective Foreclosure Program.

This faculty-led course takes place over three weeks and includes up to a 90-minute weekly live web conference session, self-paced online assignments and the use of peer discussion forums. Participants should expect to spend approximately four hours per week on course related reading and assignments.
