HO277 Fundamentals for Resident Service Providers

This interactive course will build foundational skills for staff who are coordinating or delivering resident services in service-enriched affordable housing. Resident service providers play a vital role in supporting the financial health and well-being of residents, as well as the stability and sustainability of the property. As the connector between residents and property management, resident service providers navigate multiple relationships and services. Effective service delivery is trauma-informed, focuses on equity, achieves shared outcomes, and supports residents’ financial stability. You will acquire skills and tools that will help you to feel more competent and confident in supporting the residents in your community.

This faculty-led course includes self-paced online assignments and the use of peer discussion forums. The course is presented in weekly lessons. A live 90-minute online session is held weekly with the faculty and participants. Participants should expect to spend approximately four hours per week on course-related reading and assignments.
