This course will review the policies, procedures and accounting systems that nonprofit lenders and servicers must use to maintain their mortgage loan portfolios and prevent losses. You will examine effective documentation systems and learn practical techniques for controlling risks and avoiding default and foreclosure. Conventional and FHA default and loss mitigation processes will be examined and discussed. Case studies are utilized through interactive exercises as a learning tool. Recommended for staff, management and board members concerned with improving servicing and collections operations.
