Prisoner reentry to the free society presents multiple, interrelated and untraceable problems in many communities. In this session we’ll screen and discuss The Return, a poignant documentary film that brings together the perspectives of ex-prisoners, their families, attorneys, trial judges, and the people and organizations that provide reentry services and support. Led by an experienced community reentry professional, in this session we’ll explore the social, legal, and institutional barriers to and tools for a successful reentry. This is a unique opportunity to share, learn, and reflect with peers from all over the country about this critical social issue and community development challenge.
