CL116b From Volunteer to Leader in Rural Communities

* This workshop is offered on Saturday only. Come to this interactive session to learn more about the key roles that residents play as leaders in community-based organizations, not just in meetings but in day-to-day community life. Geared especially to residents of rural and small towns, we’ll take a look at: (1) Moving up as a volunteer into a position of leadership, how to test for “fit” and answer the question – am I right for this job?; (2) Why “brand” is so valuable to a community-based organization, and how resident volunteers are the heart of that value; and (3) What it means to be an ambassador for any organization or cause, how to be effective and why it’s important.
