Course Details

A call to experienced organizers, community builders and outreach staff! Why do we do the work we do? How can we be more effective in organizing our communities? Who will join us in our work and how do we identify and reach out to them and then keep them engaged?

This facilitated forum will provide you opportunities to learn from your peers, discuss promising practices and see examples of successful community building through video stories as well as a tour to a local organization doing creative organizing work. Participants will have extensive opportunities to be in peer-to-peer sessions and share organizing experiences with others doing similar work throughout the country. Additionally, the forum will focus on what is current in — and what the future may hold for — the field of community organizing.

This special forum is intended primarily for experienced community builders, organizers and volunteer leaders.
