AM224 Asset Management Case Study: Putting the Tools to Work for Properties and Owners

Asset Management Case Study is designed for students who have completed Nuts and Bolts, NHMS, and Financial Tools for Asset Managers. Asset Management Case Study builds on the full range of skills developed in prior CHAM courses, applying them to a real-life asset management challenge. Through a series of analytical and problem-solving exercises, participants will develop an asset management strategy for a property facing cashflow problems, a year-15 tax credit exit, and major capital needs. Participants will work with real source documents, including audits and financial statements, partnership and regulatory documents, capital needs assessment, etc. The course will reinforce key skills taught in the CHAM series, including financial analysis, refinancing debt and equity, prioritization of capital needs, and market assessment. Students are expected bring laptop computers for use during the class.
