AH291 REO Solutions: Property Assessment, Acquisition and Financing
The REO challenge has dropped tens of thousands of foreclosed affordable properties into our communities. Many sites are vacant and are being damaged by vandalism and the elements. This course discusses how nonprofit housing developers can assess the feasibility of rehabbing and selling or leasing a foreclosed and abandoned property, acquire it from the bank or other owner and how to arrange financing for carrying the property and funding the rehab work. This course is strongly suggested for all those who will touch the assessment, acquisition and/or financing processes of REO properties.
