ML249vc Sorting through the Chaos: Effectively Managing Projects

If you are ready to ramp up your project management skills, this course is designed for you. This faculty-led intermediate course explores the ten project management processes recognized by the Project Management Institute that ensure successful project initiation, planning, execution, and monitoring. Effective project managers use proven practices to manage the key resources. Regardless of your project's type, scale, or complexity, you’ll gain tools and strategies to increase your project’s success. Integrating hands-on activities, discussions, case studies, and individual exercises, this course utilizes Project Management Institute standards, in developing project management processes within nonprofit, housing, and community projects.

This intermediate course is ideal for professionals regularly managing projects as a part of their role. It is not a PMP certification course.

This faculty-led course includes self-paced online assignments, the use of peer discussion forums and live web conferencing. The course is presented in four weekly lessons. Participants should expect to spend approximately four hours per week on course related reading and assignments.
