NA001 Financial Education and Coaching in Native Communities - Interactive Webinar Training

Financial education and coaching are proven methods to help Native clients achieve financial well-being. To be successful in this effort, practitioners must understand the cultural and historical context of the Native communities and the people they serve, as well as how financial structures may differ. In this webinar, you will gain significant knowledge and learn best practices in laying the foundation for more inclusive financial capability programming for Native communities. You will also gain insight into the differences between the best practices of group financial education versus one-on-one coaching. Discover the cultural considerations, advanced training opportunities, adaptations for different age groups, and virtual training techniques for Native participants. This course will focus on these key components, helping coaches and counselors to communicate the benefits of their financial capability programs.

This faculty-led webinar training will last 90-minutes and include resource materials, learning checks, interactive polling, and participant Q&A with the faculty. A quiz will be open at the conclusion of the session which must be passed in order to obtain a certificate and credit toward continuing education hours. Participants can access the training site upon registration and begin looking at the available resources prior to the live online training session. Participants will complete the quiz and print their certificate immediately after the live session.
