A collaborative effort by more than 30 housing industry partners developed the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling. By adopting and adhering to these standards, practitioners and organizations are demonstrating their commitment to ensuring families and communities have the knowledge and tools to achieve and sustain homeownership and financial security.The National Industry Standards focus on competency, skills, training, operational knowledge, code of ethics and conduct and performance standards. Organizations incorporating the National Industry Standards into their business practices encourage excellence and guide professional conduct and decision-making across the field.
